Contemporary minimal synth from The Netherlands. This debut 7" by LGM 45 is a very nice piece of playful synth-pop & electro-pop. One of the favorite Feedback records at Vulcanoid Head Quarters ;)

Artist : Liaisons Dangereuses

Label : Roadrunner Records

untitled / LP

Legendary original LP from 1981. Crazy minimal electro produced by Liaisons Dangereuses. A major influence for a lot of current artists. A MUST ! Early German EBM minimal electro-wave. Avant-gardist dark experimental stuff. Including the hit "Los Ninos Del Parque". Very few copies in stock !

Artist : Liaisons Dangereuses

Label : Soulsheriff Records

untitled / LP

A milestone in electronic music is finally receiving its well-deserved re-release Liaisons Dangereuses legendary self-titled debut album still fascinates today, through its innovative sound and the mystery encompassing it. Since its release in 1981, it has become a classic in electronic music. The 10 electrifying songs produced by Chrislo Haas (DAF) and Beate Bartel (Mania D. / Matador) (reinforced by Krishna Goineau's French & Spanish speech-attack-lyrics) created a unique style. The album (anything other than a Berlin or Düsseldorf 'thing') was propelled to an international favourite. Songs such as "Peut Être... Pas" and "Los Niños Del Parque" played a decisive role in the development of Detroit and Chicago's house sound, as well as various forms of European techno. Must-Have!

do you wanna funk

Artist : Lian Ross

Label : Chic

do you wanna funk / 12"

Reissue of the alltime classic anthem of Sylvester (co-produced by Patrick Cowley) released in 1987 on the defunct German Chic label. The perfect hi-nrg track to crash the dancefloor. Very big one !

für immer

Artist : Ligne D'Hiver

Label : Brouillard Definitif

für immer / LP

Already known for an appearance making your blood run cold on the split 7" "Ligne Froide" (the grooves of which were shared with Saison Froide) the members of Ligne d'Hiver are back with this posthumous mini lp. Something else to offer ? That's for sure ! You will be stunned by the different compositions of "Für Immer", notarily the track "Black Monday" already heard on the Leiv Traumas tape released in 1989 on the label Aspect d'une Certaine Industrie. On account of its surprising adaptation, you can't as well fail to respond to "Trouble", a mysterious reinterpretation of "Crime Passionnel" featuring on "Ligne froide" 7". Though at that time "Walls and Bridges" wasn't recognised as such, it's virtually certain that the track will retrospectively become a 80's dancefloor hit, which stands as a unique chance for you to catch back that missed hit ! Let's not forget the mesmerizing "Pourquoi ?" (a track overwhelming you while you're caught by its rhythmics), or the strange "Titihoya" in a Szajner-Ptôse-Illitch's vein. At last the wonderful masterpiece "Deauville", belonging to a rare genre and which had to be included in this "Für Immer" we're pleased to present you. Essential !

ligne froide

Artist : Ligne D'Hiver / Saison Froide

Label : Brouillard Definitif

ligne froide / 7"

This is the 1st 7" vinyl from the French label Brouillard Définitif (specialized in the French cold-wave). Always amazing to hear that this is indeed a genre of its very own, the French bands just had their very own style, their very own atmosphere. Ligne d'Hiver was Loїc d'Hiver and Frédéric Hameury from Rennes, using bass, synth-keyboard and a Boss DR-110, here performing "Tired" and "Crime Passionel (live)", which are incredibly close to Clair Obscur in both musical and vocal performance. Saison Froide is Flav who formed this project in 2001, and here performing "Une Certaine Elégance and "Les Appartements Tristes" with lovely and melodic bass and guitar playing accompanied by sinister vocals and a light drum machine, definitely close to and thus a must-have for fans of Clair Obscur and Opera Multi Steel ! Come with an accompanying withered leaf...

This really nice 4 tracks EP was released in 2002 by the prolific Dutch producer Like A Tim. It sounds like a lost New Order merged with Giorgio Moroder bassline. Highly recommended for nu electro-italo freaks !

bass girl

Artist : Like A Tim & Gina V. D'Orio

Label : Like Records

bass girl / LP

Totally unhinged, not-what-you'd-expect collaboration between Like A Tim and DHR veteran Gina D'Orrio, apparently featuring 9 classic American pop songs from the 50's & 60's re-done mad style. "Bass Girl" can perhaps best be described as a smokey Twin Peaks era Julee Crusie spliced with a plastic 80's sensibility that brings to mind some of the worst nights out I've ever enjoyed. Or perhaps the soundtrack to a classic 80's John Hughes movie reworked by Vangelis. Very very odd but quite interesting. Give it a listen.. ;)

Artist : Lime

Label : Polydor

Probably one of the most under hyped under credited groundbraking jewels released in 1982 by the Canadians of Lime (aka Denis and Denyse Lepage). The songwriting is incredible. Very original sing-a-long epic choruses, amazing rough male vocals, amazing arrangements translated into even more amazing electronic programming which is only apreciated by musicians who know how much creativity and effort goes into it. Cheezy Italo Disco at its best !

Artist : Linea Aspera

Label : Dark Entries

untitled / LP

Debut album of contemporary British band Linea Aspera. Linea Aspera is the London duo of Ryan Ambridge (synths/programming) & Alison Lewis (vocals/synths). They began the project in november 2011, technically drawing inspiration from electronic music from the early 80's. Within the duo, Alison writes and performs all vocal elements, while Ryan is responsible for the writing and performing of the electronics, as well as recording and mixing of the final recordings. For their debut album they utilized small, simple analog synthesizer set up: Roland SH-09, Roland Juno 6, Vermona DRM MKiii, Korg Poly 800 and Analogue Solutions Semblance. Linea Aspera's sound includes clear influences from early electronic body music, classic synth-pop and, in some instances, industrial and noise. Lyrically the band incorporates the sciences of osteology, neuroscience, and anthropology weaving a new medical language around themes of desire, despair and renewal. Linea Aspera serve up an icebox of dark doom riding on Alison's powerful vocals with a soft but sharp touch. Each LP is housed in a specially designed jacket by Dovile Shurpo and includes a full sized insert of all lyrics.

Artist : Linea Aspera

Label : Weyrd Son Records

II / 12"

Originally released on cassette, this vinyl reissue of Linea Aspera's last ep is a must have for minimal-synth and darkwave enthusiasts. The 3 tracks featured on this ep are wonderful synth-pop / noise / industrial pearls that translate perfectly the aesthetic of the London duo consisted of Alison Lewis and Ryan Ambridge; powerful lyrics and sexy vocals added to strong and infectious dronelike synths at their best that have a very high 80's feel. Linea Aspera's music is very emotional and highly recommended for anyone who has learned that the darkness is their friend and who relish it's cold embrace. This collection comes in a single-sided clear vinyl with artwork printed on pvc sleeve and tracing paper insert. Limited to 300 hand-numbered copies.

remando en el volga

Artist : Linea Vienesa

Label : Domestica

remando en el volga / LP

Ramón G. del Pomar wanted to set up a rock band. He played the guitar. He had already got in touch with a bass player, Patricia Álvarez de Lorenzana, but he needed a singer and a keyboard player. He met Mavi Margarida in some night party in Madrid, and he was fascinated by her lips painted in blue, matching her raincoat. "Would you like to sing?" he asked her. Mavi was studying in the school of the dancer Antonio Llopis, "Teatro de la Danza", so she told him "if you want, we can try". Hired. Then Mavi brought in Ricardo Llorca, a piano student in the Real Conservatorio de Música de Madrid. It was in the winter of 1981 when they entered Mario del Castillo's rehearsal premises, with a rented synthesizer, a drum machine Körg, a guitar Gibson (which had belonged to Pete Townshend), a bass Hoffner and a pair of microphones. The cinema producer Francisco Hoyos was in charge of the expenses. The music by Línea Vienesa lies in so many poles that the links would be too long. We just have to focus on the use of the drum machine, its walks on the Renaissance music which, from time to time, is sung in German (although it is not very understandable) and which is, in the end, music made to entertain as well as to listen to it carefully. The group was not created according to a specific concept. Songs began to arise spontaneously: a guitar riff here, a synthetizer melody there, now a syncopated rhythm and a powerful bass. Many hours of rehearsal. A poem by a friend who was musicalizing, a song compounded in the car during a traffic jam, a modernized “copla” in their parents' home piano, and an interest towards the aesthetics that all of them shared. Up to that moment, any Spanish music group had not used a drum machine to play pop. And that was the 1st Spanish group out of the commercial circuits which all the national written press echoed. What is amazing in Línea Vienesa is, in the 1st place, how clear they have their purpose. The work done and the drum machine have had good results, the compositions have a strange consistency and they are able to lead everything to the best port. 250 copies edition containing 10 pages handmade fanzine + 2 postcards. Really nice gem ;)

Artist : Liquid G.

Label : Dark Entries

liquidation / LP

Liquid G. (Liquid Garbage) is the one-man project of EBM stalwart Peter van Bogaert from Melsele, Belgium. In 1987 he began to record music and self-release limited cassettes on his own label Liquid Produkts. Between 1987 & 1990, Peter composed over 9 albums, in addition to a split release with Vomito Negro. Liquid G. made their 1st vinyl appearance on the 'Expo 87' 7" compilation, courtesy of Dirk Ivens' Body Records. 'Liquidation' is the 1st ever vinyl compilation of Liquid G.'s cassette recordings, taking you on a journey through the underground of the Belgian electro industrial scene. Each song was written, produced, recorded and performed solely by Peter between 1987 & 1989. Liquid G. captures the DiY synth-punk ethos of Cabaret Voltaire, The Screamers and Nervous Gender. 6 of the 11 songs on the album are instrumentals, and full of disturbing drum machines, stratified synthesizers and deep distorted bass-lines. The jacket is a custom made black and white collage by Gwenaël Rattke, capturing the bleak attitude of the music. Each album includes a double¬sided insert featuring the original artwork of the cassettes and lyrics !

mask rewind

Artist : Lisfrank

Label : Anna Logue Records

mask rewind / LP+7"

Lisfrank was an obscure one-man project from Italy. The first and only Lisfrank stand-alone release was the 12" ep "Man Mask" (1982), definitely one of the best and rarest early 80's minimal electro 12"s ever and on top of most want lists ever since, including the super hit "It's Life", as well as "Violence in my Mind". This lp captures the majority of available recordings from 1980 onwards. Lisfrank's music is completely analogue electronics with drum machine (or real drums on two tracks), very unique and each a track a classic of its own kind. The early tracks until 1983 are rough and dark, and form the 12" album together with similar early composed but later recorded tracks thus creating an overall and coherent dark atmosphere throughout the whole album. As the 1984-85 tracks "Stay With Me" and "My Toy" were more pop-oriented they didn't perfectly fit to the album's atmosphere and were thus put onto the accompanying 7". Lisfrank's lyrics are very dark and full of despair, dealing with personal fears, self-perception and the problems arising from this and other human interactions, or other topics like ecological pollution. All in all, this release is maybe one of the most important and interesting albums coming out of Italy, made by an intelligent person and great composer who is now occasionally recording again. Limited to 500 beautiful copies...

past and future

Artist : Little Nemo

Label : Domestica

past and future / LP

Little Nemo was born in 1983 as the result of the musical encounter between Olivier Champeau and Vincent Gallo in the Paris area. The name stems from Windsor McCay's comic strip, dating back to the early 20th century and telling the oniric adventures of a little boy during his sleep. That sets the tone for the many arty references in the group's history. The duet asserts this psychedelic ascent while quoting Syd Barrett's Pink Floyd as their influence. Their music mixing keyboards (mainly Olivier), a drum machine and guitar/bass by Vincent is influenced by the new-wave of Cure and Joy Division, as well as by the French groups Taxi Girl and Marquis de Sade. 'Past And Future' was originally self-produced and self-distributed by the band on his own label Artefact, as a limited edition of 500 cassettes, released in june 1987. It was sold out in a few months. The tape is meant to be conceptual. It features on the 'Past' side a song about the passing of time ("A Day Out Of Time"), the sung adaptation of the poem by Baudelaire "A Une Passante", "Empty House" the story of a haunted house in the style of Edgar Allan Poe, "Old Age" about the loneliness of old age and ends with a waltzing version of "La Balade Des Pendus" from Villon. All this reminds of the 19th century. The 'Future' side begins with "Seconds", referring to the clock counting down to the year 2000 set up at the Beaubourg Center in Paris. The time theme comes up again on "Counter-Clock World", followed by a song about the TV series of the 60's "The Prisoner", "Be Seeing You" with an organ sound reminding of the Stranglers. It ends with "Future is now" and is artificially linked by the character of Alan who appears in several songs. Musically, this album features addictive songs and already defines the trademarks of each musician, the most synthetic and energetic titles for Olivier, Vincent revealing his taste for ternary rhythms, the piano and cursed French poets. Little Nemo already shows a marked personality. In 1989, the band was signed under licence to New Rose for the LP 'Sounds In The Attic' (on Lively Art sublabel), after New Rose had distributed the self-produced ep 'Private Life' in 1988. In 1990, New Rose reissued 'Past & Future' on cassette, and another 500 copies were sold. Out on vinyl for the very 1st time, with hand-printed letterpress. Edition of 500 units..

hole in the sky

Artist : Lives Of Angels

Label : Dark Entries

hole in the sky / LP

Lives of Angels was the brainchild of Gerald O'Connell from London, England. At the end of the 70's, O'Connell had been working on material for Mystery Plane, a band that included his wife Catherine on keyboards and backing vocals. In 1980 the pair of them left to form Lives Of Angels and focus on O'Connell's own songs, which he felt were more oblique, atmospheric and evocative than the narrative style and social commentary of Mystery Plane. The result sounds both of its time, comfortably nestling under the gloomy clouds of British post-punk and goth, and oddly out of time; its homemade quality placing it outside of obvious chronological signifiers as the motorik riffs and spartan drum patterns loop over and over to infinity. O'Connell was unimpressed by the musical offerings of the early 80's (with the exception of New Order, Cocteau Twins and Depeche Mode, he notes), instead drawing from San Francisco psychedelia, Van Morrison's Astral Weeks, Congolese guitarist Dr. Nico and the full pantheon of krautrock (especially Amon Düül II, whose song 'Archangels Thunderbird' contains the line, "there is no elevator to Eden but a hole in the sky"). Keyboards and some vocals were provided by Catherine, who also acted as editor, making changes to the arrangements or pointing out inappropriate drum patterns (hence her credit in the sleeve notes as "percussion censor"). 'Elevator To Eden' was originally released in 1983 on cassette by Color Disc and reissued on vinyl in 2012 on Dark Entries, in slightly condensed form. 'Hole In The Sky' is an 11-track compilation of material from the Lives of Angels archives. Including 2 tracks from the original 'Elevator To Eden' cassette omitted from our vinyl reissue, 2 tracks from Color Disc compilations and 7 previously unreleased tracks. This compilation features the very earliest Lives of Angels recordings "Call Moscow" and "Somebody Else" as well as the final composition from 1986 "The Infinite Corridor" plus original mixes of "After Dark" and "Look Out Kid" different than the versions on the 'Color Supplement' compilation. 'Hole In The Sky' is an impressive example of early 80's home recording; a DiY interpretation of the elegance and ambition of the previous decade's krautrock. Each copy comes in custom made jacket designed by Eloise Leigh and includes an 11x11 double-sided insert with liner notes, lyrics and photos. "You have no idea how rewarding it is that people are interested in what we did all those years ago", says O'Connell. "Catherine had a very happy time doing all that stuff, it was brilliant, and I felt that it was a success artistically. It deserved more attention. Better late than never".

nomon / schoen

Artist : Loess

Label : n5MD

nomon / schoen / 7"

Philadelphia based Ian Pullman and Clay Emerson have put together a pretty tight 2 track 7" in "Nomon / Schoen". "Schoen" rolls quickly into a layer of nimble rhythm and dark, electrical moans. The rhythm drops out for a breathy throat rumble or two, cutting back in heartrending synth sweeps and resolute bassline. On the B-Side, "Nomon" is a little more laid back : a soft, bassy, bleepy techno arrangement that brings the synth in and out to a dramatic crescendo, a track much in the vein of the beated ambience on Aphex Twin's "Selected Ambient Works II". Really tasty !

Artist : Looky Looky

Label : Dark Entries

flamingo boots / 12"

Looky Looky is the new project from Jeffrey Sfire and Ian Clark, both residing in Detroit, Michigan. The pair met in the late 90's when Ian was performing as one half of Le Car with Adam Miller of ADULT. Ian also recorded under the moniker Perspects, and released on Clone, Ersatz Audio and Interdimensional Transmissions. Jeffrey has released a series of singles and remix ep's with Samuel Long as Sfire on CockTail D'Amore Music and Ultramajic. The duo released their 8-track debut album 'Part Flamingo' in 2016. All 8 tracks represent one body of work but are presented as 2 distinct concept ep's: 'Part Flamingo' and 'Nurse Coven'. They're loose, fun pastiches of 80's movie soundtracks with accompanying imagery. For the 'Flamingo Boots' ep we chose 4 songs from the album which the pair extended for maxi 12" throbbing dance mixes. Looky Looky describe the project as equal parts light and dark, a contemporary recasting of italo, Hi-Nrg and electro. The songs infuse bright 80's sonic textures with a seedy, sweaty thump. The Motor city duo is about a year into the project, but is already known for their hardware-heavy live set after playing the Honcho Summer Campout last year and the 2017 edition of Gays Hate Techno in northern California. Each jacket features a collage by Chicago-based artist Nicole Ginelli of a Nagel-esque face with a mauve/grey color scheme with fuchsia and green accents. Also included is a postcard with notes and a photo of the duo.

This crafty and tack sharp San Francisco art wave unit veer from Null And Void and Christian Lunch like damaged synthy post punk to the askew femme vox new wave peppiness of The B-52's, Family Fodder and The Waitresses, though there's enough zippy synth and rhythm box bits littered throughout to qualify this as being at least tangentially minimal synth as well. life after breakfast

Artist : Los Microwaves

Label : Dark Entries

life after breakfast / LP+CD

Los Microwaves was a San Francisco-based synth-punk trio who formed in 1979. The main line-up included Meg Brazill (vocals, bass, synthesizers), David Javelosa (vocals, synthesizers), and Todd 'Rosa' Rosencrans (drums, bass). Their recorded output consisted of a handful of 45's and their lone LP, 'Life After Breakfast', released on the legendary Posh Boy records in 1981. Creating sound and music from the fusion of techno-punk, new-wave pop, and electronic music, Los Microwaves featured a quirky audio theater that was best experienced live and from the dance floor. Sporting a combination of earlier portable synthesizers, bass and processed percussion, the music continues to deliver a unique groove. 'Life After Breakfast' contains 13 songs full of teen angst, jerky rhythms, melodic chants, and punky shouts. Meg's vocals are cheeky and peppy, recalling the anti-pop sound of The B-52's, Devo and early XTC. The band also sings in Spanish occasionally, making them San Francisco's 1st bilingual nuevo wave group. Los Microwaves toured coast to coast for 3 years. Upon moving to New York City, Interview Magazine's Glenn O'Brien wrote that they were 'possibly the greatest rock band ever'. After 2 more national tours, the band played their last show at New York's Danceteria in March 1983. The vinyl comes housed in the original jacket featuring iconic photo by Jack Abraham. Each LP includes a 12-page booklet with lyrics, photos, liner notes, and clippings. Also included is a full length DVD featuring a 15-song Los Microwaves concert from 1981, recorded at the I-Beam in San Francisco, as well as in interview with the band and the official music video for 'Life After Breakfast'. More than 30 years after its release, we can finally answer the question: yes there is there life after breakfast ;)

no visible means

Artist : Lou Champagne System

Label : Medical Records LLC

no visible means / LP

Originally self-released in 1984 on Pterodactyl Records, 'No Visible Means' is the work of Canada's own Lou Champagne. Lou Champagne was active the Ontario music scene and also performed with other local musicians from that region as well. The Lou Champagne System was the real-time guitar synth solo act of Lou Champagne. Due to his knowledge of electronics, he was able to link his guitar, synth, and synthetic drums into a working one-man solo act that was playable with floor switches and pedals. The overall effect was the sound of a full band. 'No Visible Means' was recorded in 1981-82 and mixed in 1983. It consists of 9 works of unrelenting sonic bliss. The music can be described as synth-heavy, textural punk with a very diverse palette of styles drizzled in for a truly unique listening experience. "Don't Say I'm Here" opens the album with a bang showcasing Lo'’s angular guitar effects and emotionally powered vocals. "Propaganda Frustration" is a thick, modulated affair with overtones of minimal disco and motorik motifs that commands attention on the dark dancefloor. "Machine Muzik" is a standout track with effects-laden jagged guitar hooks drenched in a haze of electronics. From beginning to end, 'No Visible Means' is a synth-punk masterpiece and will surely appeal to connoisseurs of the darker, synth-based outer limits of post-punk and jagged guitar-heavy new-wave. Available in the past only in limited quantities from Mr Champagne himself, 'No Visible Means' has been long out of print. This official reissue includes original 'nuclear circuit map' as an additional insert (with lyrics on flipside of insert). Presented on high quality 180gr. white vinyl in a limited edition of 1000 hand-numbered copies. HUGE !!

Artist : Lovers Revenge

Label : Romance Moderne

untitled / LP

Tired of the sun & the fakeness of their city, this Miami based duo emerged from the underground to provide a nice & melancholic atmosphere, bringing us back to the dark american 80's movies. The band's influences consist of venting out about relationships gone bad, mixed emotions of love and hate, and together, combining them with darkwave like sounds. Each track has its own story, let yourself begin the trip... Limited to 300 copies !

Artist : Low Red Center

Label : S-S Records

untitled / 10"

Finally! The vinyl debut of Low Red Center ! Originally a studio project, in 2004 Low Red Center morphed into an improvised group. Containing members of Voxtrot, Oblong Boys, Pataphysics, Spoon, NanoBangBang, and other Austin bands, LRC staged shows that involved heavy costuming, theater, dance, and, of course, music. Eventually, many of these improvised pieces were molded into songs. While their sound centers around electronics, to call them a minimal synth band or electronica or post-punk is selling them short. Low Red Center not only have a great sound, but they have great songs, and a couple of ace singers. Influenced by Cluster, John Foxx, Tuxedomoon, Bruce Haack, Crash Course in Science, Silver Apples, Raymond Scott, and Goblin, you can also hear Relando & the Loaf, Devo, the Plastics and others in their sound, which ultimately they've made their own. Excellent new generation ;)

momentary switch

Artist : Low Red Center

Label : Answering Machine Recordings

momentary switch / 7"

This is Low Red Center's first vinyl release, featuring tracks unavailable elsewhere. Low Red Center is Austin's most senior functioning minimal synthesizer group. Using all-analog electronics, the loosely composed unit steps from a cliff and coasts the cold air currents, out over an ocean brimming with whales and sea foam. Each single is unique; each record uses a different vinyl color variation and one of five different cover colors. The pressing is limited to 200 copies. Tip !!

plaster mould

Artist : Lower Synth Dept.

Label : Genetic Music

plaster mould / LP

Lower Synth Dept. rose from the ashes of Les Sirènes Débrouillardes in 2010 as a solo-project of the founder of the latter band, Sebastian H., that has been completed with Kyoung-Hi R. on electric bass guitar and vocals in late 2010, occasionally accompanied live by a Simmons drums set and additional synthesizer lines, played by Oliver M.. The music of the band is deeply influenced by and related to the experimental electronic music of the late 70's and early 80's, that was made in Sheffield by bands like The Future/The Human League, Vice Versa, Cabaret Voltaire, or by the formerly in Preston based musician Colin Potter and a few American avant-garde artists, pioneering in electronic music, like John Bender, etc.. Although the band is very careful in creating a minimal electronics sound, obviously appearing vintage in itself, it is produced in a hybrid way, by using analogous procedures and modern techniques of production as well. So in the end Lower Synth Department is concerned with post-minimal electronics so to speak.

Artist : Lowfish

Label : Suction

eliminator / LP

One of the best record (2000) of the Canadian electro/IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) label : Suction Records. Lowfish delivers us a pure minimal deep electro album, sometimes in a IDM style. Perfect accurate sounds which confer real part of modern electro quality on it. Sounds like Skanfrom on some tracks. A Must Have ! The auditor is brought in an incredible intense flying atmosphere. We support Suction !

the accident causer e.p. / 12"

Released in 2002 on the detroit based label Ersatz Audio, the talented canadian producer Lowfish strikes us on this 4-track EP with his typical fresh and smooth melancolic touch. A perfect balance between his 80's new wave influences and the modern electro records of today. Top !

Label : Satamile

persuasive science ep / 12"

Neo electro synth funk killer record by this Ersatz Audio/Suction recording artist. Lowfish marks his own turf with his sound and style as usual with this 4 tracker on Satamile. Emotive, deep fat synth bass lines, pumpin beats and character all of his own. Canada in the mix !

burn the lights out / 2x12"

Lowfish keeps rolling out the tracks with his new album "Burn the Lights Out". Cyrstal electro with his typical disco wave influences comprised of driving yet emotive intelligent songs that create a sonic space between many genres that Lowfish owns as his own. Nice !

1000 corrections per second ep

Artist : Lowfish

Label : Suction

1000 corrections per second ep / 12"

Lowfish one of Canada's most prominent electro producers with his strongest work "1000 Corrections Per Second". This is his third album released in 2003 and closely similar of "Soothing Sounds for Robots" LP by Skanfrom. Clinical production style is both very "new school electro " and built on the DNA of early new wave/EBM genre. Nice !

maintain the tension ep

Artist : Lowfish

Label : Suction

maintain the tension ep / 12"

Lowfish (aka Gregory de Rocher) delivers us 6 tracks of precision drum machine electro-pop. "Maintain The Tension" refers to a certain set of glorious knobs on one of Lowfish's prized vintage synthesizers.. This is classic Suction robot pop, and Lowfish's rich and timeless synth-pop melodies make these clubhits more akin to Depeche Mode circa 1981, than to Gigolo Records circa 2002, that's for certain. Forget electroclash, this is electroclass! Fantastic Robot music from Canada ;)

hello tinnitus / a little thing gets by

Artist : Lowfish

Label : Suction

hello tinnitus / a little thing gets by / 7"

New 7" single from Canadian electro mainstay Lowfish, a preview of his forthcoming 'Hypersensitivity' Lp. This double-A-side 7" is actually the 1st new Lowfish release since 2008. While his last 2 albums could best be described as serene and clinical, electro at it's most austere, Lowfish's return to Suction Records, the label he co-runs with Solvent, also marks a return to a more melancholic electro-pop sound. This is not new territory for De Rocher, but it's been a while since we've heard this kind of direct, fragile emotion from Lowfish. In fact, with their slow, head-knodding 808 beats and wistful synthesizer melodies, these songs could best be described as electro-ballads. "A Little Thing Gets By" is almost cute, until the strings fade in pure heartbreak. "Hello Tinnitus" meanwhile, is the most pure slice of synth-pop that Lowfish has delivered since 2002's 'Theme to Parked Cars', a firm Lowfish fave for many. While Kraftwerk remains the pivotal electro music reference, only a few electro artists can rival the masters' keen sense of melody and emotional depth. Lowfish is one of those rare electro artists, and this 7" makes that case clear !!

now we are dead

Artist : Lowfish / Solvent

Label : Suction

now we are dead / 12"

Toronto based electro melody makers Lowfish (aka Gregory de Rocher) and Solvent (aka Jason Amm) are celebrating the passing of their co-owned record label, Suction Records, with a tour and a release entitled "Now We Are Dead". A pure analog electro synth killer ep for what is becoming a fetish piece on a now cult label, in the vein of A.D.S.R... R.I.P. :°°-(

Artist : Luc Van Acker

Label : Kindred Spirits

taking snapshots / LP

Busy devil-does-all whose never-ending anger and experimental drift has brought him to far across the boundaries, playing with groups as Ministry, Revolting Cocks, Schriekback... Luc Van Acker (from Belgium), starts his career with the songs "The Fear In My Heart" and "Jump And Shout" which were released as a 12" and became quite successful on a cult level. His first solo album was "Taking Snapshots" (1982), which he recorded in his home and distributed it himself by driving around Europe with several hundred copies in his car, begging record stores to buy as many as possible. This fresh re-issue archive is an adventurous exploration of minimalistic noise wave and synth-pop, a truly far-out and pioneering experimental electronic release. Inevitable...

vpro radionome - december 18 1981

Artist : Luc Van Acker

Label : Enfant Terrible

vpro radionome - december 18 1981 / 12"

Already from his solo records in the early 80's, Luc Van Acker has been building a name for himself as a multi talented musician and performer. While his early works are rather experimental he later joined forces with other musicians (who have become famous with bands like Front 242 and Ministry) to create a more rock orientated industrial / electronic act called Revolting Cocks. The session on this record is from 1981 and thus a very early piece of music in the discography of Luc Van Acker. For this occasion he performed with live electronics, a violin and various other gadgets and tools. The music must be seen as somewhere in between old style industrial music (thus experimental) and modern classical music. This live performance takes the listener from rhythmic pieces into more soundscape like baths of sound and was done as part of the legendary RadioNome radioshow broadcasted by the Vpro in the early 80's. The session has been tranfered from the original tape and is edited and re-mastered to make it available for a new audience. Limited to 520 copies only...

auctor terminat opus

Artist : Lucie Cries

Label : Brouillard Definitif

auctor terminat opus / 2x12"

When contrasted against the background of the end of the uneasy decade that the French 80's cold-wave scene had gone through, Olivier Pacaud stands as a benchmark. Echoing its agony in a barely perceptible moaning, cold-wave sounded to slowly die out.... His strong independence, his integrity in art and his unsensible pugnacity must be praised. With his band Lucie Cries, but also through his label Alea Jacta Est – that stands nearly alone as an islet of resistance and promotion of a scene scorned and despised (or ignored at best) by most of the media, and consequently of an audience that had shrunk more and more, he proved he was determined. Against all expectations he chose to carry on the torch of a declining and clinically dead movement. For a few years and despite their noble fight was doomed to failure, Olivier Pacaud and his band resisted and kept up the flame and rage as much as they could. They released their own productions that were real a commercial suicide, for a dark sparse audience that was soon to lose its interest for 'old-school' tunes (all the heritage left behind by the venerable Joy Division, Sisters of Mercy, The Chameleons or others such as Play Dead) and eager to turn to the awakening German dark wave that promoted nothing more than a fashionable vampire outlook. At last! More than 25 years after her birth, the cute Lucie is released on vinyl and definitely engraved into memory for the 1st time ever! We must say we are extremely proud and deeply touched to allow it. The tears of Lucie will keep running down and touching our hearts... Our friend Olivier -against all expectations and thanks to his talent and his refusing giving up- took the best out of his desperate bet and left his print in our lives and in the history of a movement that is true because its heroes are! Let's the neverending echoing and ravishing call of the muse take over! Limited to 300 copies on green marbled vinyl. Tip !!

elliot ep

Artist : Luke Eargoggle

Label : Bunker

elliot ep / 12"

5 Pametex or Ectomorph like minimal electro tracks by Luke Eargoggle on Bunker Records. Deep, dark, cold electro from the Nordic territories (Sweden). A sinister electofied film noir soundtrack by this Stilleben local causing mad chaos for Den Haag's heroic Bunker label.

Artist : Luke Eargoggle

Label : KONDI

flexible views ep / 12"

Luke Eargoggle returns on this home grown Swedish imprint to deliver 6 tracks of upfront 808 electro. The vintage Eargoggle sound is in full effect, drop stabbing analogue basslines over solid 808 electro beats, vocoder's and swirling analogue strings adding to the plastic vibe. Future Classic !

Artist : Luke Eargoggle

Label : Stilleben

bored dudes society / 7"

Record produced by Luke Eargoggle in the end of the 90's and which is also the last 7" on Stilleben records before they were staring to make 12". This one is a mixture of obscure electro and acid techno. Rare so Out of Stock everywhere record. Tou know what to do !

pawns of the field

Artist : Luke Eargoggle

Label : Kust Musik

pawns of the field / 2x12"

New album from one of our favorite pure electro producer of the moment ! Pawns Of The Field is a 13 tracker LP of variated electro music from fast dancefloor styles to more relaxed listening titles but all in the vein of Krafwerk, Dopplereffekt and freestyle electronix. Some of them like "Drinking and Smoking 2006" was released on his first ep on his own label Stilleben in 1999. The LP also includes some collaborations with the French vocalist Nancy fortune, on the track "Twilight". Check It !

ghetto style ep

Artist : Luke Eargoggle

Label : Bunker

ghetto style ep / 12"

Sparse and luscious, five tracks of booty, Hague style released in 2001 on Bunker. Deep 808's, dirty murmuring, gargantuan synths, creeping rhythms with more than a whisper of John Carpenter in there, this is as synthetic as you could possibly wish !

atari nightshifts

Artist : Luke Eargoggle

Label : KONDI

atari nightshifts / 12"

"Atari Nightshifts" is an incredible strong and pure 6 track electro record with the sounds of the past and tomorrow. With phat analogue basslines, beautiful and sad melodies, Luke once again shows us his amazing skills when it comes to originality and love for oldschool production methods. "All Engines Work" is a class-result of this ! A true killer on the floor ! After months of hard work it might very well be one of the best Eargoggle 12" so far...

lightwriters infovox ep

Earogoggle & Inkinen produced track in their signature mind bending style. Highly limited picture disc mini-LP. Recommended..!

audio warriors

Artist : Luke Eargoggle

Label : Bunker

audio warriors / CD

Very limited CD release, containing what is unarguably Luke's best production work thus far. Revisiting Bunker after guest spots on his own Stilleben label and the Catnip eps on which he collaborates with Legowelt, this is one amazing electro album. If you fetishize the imagined futures of darkstyle detroit music, or covet the kind of crazy, minimalistic robot sounds brother ron hardy kept down his trousers, then get this. Electro with a twitch then, eerie voices and a kind of twisted acidlined 'stiff white funk', the mighty Juan Atkins would be rightfully proud. Bad-intentioned vocal fuels the paranoia nearly to breaking point and an all in apocalyptic nightmare setting threatens to take all present gleefully over the edge and into the void. 'Split Personality' more than sums this up; cheery stuff!!. More future, more dark, more of everything than previous Bunkers, more Detroit, just give me more...

train to illusion

Artist : Luke Eargoggle

Label : Borft

train to illusion / 12"

We had to doublecheck that this was indeed the 1st time the mighty Luke Eargoggle had graced Jan Svensson's Börft label, such is their shared Diy ethos and heritage within Scandinavian electronics. But here we are with 'Train To Illusion', the Börft debut for Luke Eargoggle and a wonderful 4 track foray into the classic electro sound the Swede has become renowned for. "Deep Sea Reminder" is a delight that could easily snap on for a lot longer than its 8 minute reminder, but the record doesn't stay on this hopeful note throughout. Indeed there is a ruff and ruggedness to "Optical Illusion" which will probably appeal to the Helena Hauff's of the world, whilst "Frau Bowie" could easily be mistaken for a Panzerkreuz B-side. Tip !!

telewerk 2

Artist : Luke Eargoggle & Johan Inkinen

Label : Stilleben

telewerk 2 / 12"

Taken from 'Telewerk 2' forthcoming 12" on Stilleben Records 2011. Luke Eargoggle & Johan Inkinen getting down in the studio and bringing "real" hip-hop back to the people. Lyrics, in Swedish, are about how to make nice and tasty pancakes while having analogue fun! Our favorite new Stilleben releases ;)

snow in june / data bara

Artist : Luke Eargoggle / Faceless Mind

Label : Fundamental Records

snow in june / data bara / 2x12"

'Snow In June' was mostly written and produced in 2014 in Greece on the Crete island. Since Luke is not the biggest fan of the sun all day long he brought a mini studio to the hotel where he could escape the hot weather after the beach and put the the air condition on the max. Machines were all in sync and the journey began... Also after having some nice conversations with Mr Alek Stark they planned and exchanged some thoughts around this record and it became this paradox double album. The music speaks for itself. It has alot of Eargoggle's sound in it but also a lot of other influences never heard before. Like all his music, this album is a tribute to machines and feelings to create a new world. To be able to express and combine them.. Travelling is always mysterious and interesting.. Hope you can travel with it! Use the Eargoggles ;) On the 2nd album from Faceless Mind (aka Johan Inkinen & Luke Eargoggle), 'Data Bara' is about experiment and a lot of red wine. They have a sound that they don't want to challenge to much but still go deeper in what they do and discover on during the path. This album compiles tracks from the last 2 years even if most of them are made pretty recent. All in all, this one is HUGE !!

temple train / hzl 1-3

Artist : Luke Eargoggle / Jiri Hones

Label : H

temple train / hzl 1-3 / 7"

Split release from 2004 on small german label Heckengäu with a superb haunting electro track in typical Eargoggle style and quality. Essential record with one of the best Eargoggle's track to date. Limited !

mama loves me / lonewolf

Artist : Luke Eargoggle / Rutherford

Label : Stilleben

mama loves me / lonewolf / 7"

Early Stilleben releases recorded in 1999 with a dirty raw mood on it. Hard beats with crazy acid sounds (the Hague touch) must transform any human dancers to crazy freaks for sure. Great ! Very limited and pressed on a marble colored vinyl.

Artist : Luke Vibert

Label : Warp

yoseph / 3x12"

"Yoseph" explores the many faces of acid, moving from classic Vibertian / Wagon Christ-ish bouncy hip-hop acid funk beats, to dirty late night breaks and some searing sample-editing from the man who can. This is an album that should be played at 6am in the morning for that acid boogie vibe, an assortment of 303's lining-up from end to end, every now and again delving deeper for the breaks and the analog synth action which is in full effect for much of the album. "Yoseph" is another winner from Vibert, in that cuddly, dayglo, acidic sort of way. Yum...

obsession / viper smile

Artist : Luminance

Label : Weyrd Son Records

obsession / viper smile / 7"

After 2 ep's that have set the already so recognizable multiple dimensions of one-man band project Luminance, this very special release presents a 2 tracks selection that illustrates and resumes perfectly the richness of Luminance's variegated range of colours and textures. While side A's "Obsession" has this super dancy and pulsating but somber vibe, perfectly accompanied by Nathalie Bruno's (ex-Phosphor) voice and lyrics, "Viper Smile" is giving side B a intimate walk in the limbs of what David-Alexandre can do best, where cold/dark/synthwave remarkably collide. Limited to 200 hand-numbered copies on black vinyl..

the light is ours

Artist : Luminance

Label : No Label

the light is ours / 12"

Luminance is the one man project of (DA) from Brussels. This singer and multi-instrumentist proposes a debut ep called 'The Light Is Ours' and it's very interesting! It's a blend of synth-pop, minimal wave, cold-wave with touches of psychedelia. Echoing drums, vaporous vocals, droning bass lines, sparkling analog synth melodies: you think of OMD and The Cure, but more modern, in the direction of Led Er Est and Martial Canterel. The track "Facts Without Emotions" is a fantastic song, a real upbeat dancefloor killer! You also get more experimental songs, like "Rare Are The Ones": the slow, hypnotic beat and heavy reverberating vocals convey a deep ghost-wave feeling, a but like In Death It Ends or The Soft Moon. "Exercise", on the other hand, is an... exercise in style reminiscent of Kraftwerk with its robotic beats and vocoder vocals. "Les Loups" is a beautiful, psychedelic ballad; too bad the guitar riff is more than slightly inspired by Lullaby (The Cure). "The Light Is Ours" has the same ethereal quality and takes you on a nice trip adorned by subtle drum machine sounds and shimmering synthetic tunes. In a nutshell: a great debut ep. If you like modern minimal wave, rush to buy the ep !

sans visage

Artist : Luminance

Label : Die Blinden Records

sans visage / LP

New album from Brussels artist Luminance (aka David-Alexandre Parquier). New-wave/synth-pop/dark electronics. Echoing drums in the distance, vaporous winds bearing the Old Voices, here to guide us through the coldness of the city, towards the ancestral light. 'Sans Visage' is very difficult to stick a genre on it. Sometimes it's goth rock, and then it’s minimal-synth-wave. But whatever the label is, Luminance always has an 80's sound, and even the best of it! It is the perfect album for dark times. He who does not want to experience that, must be blind, it's up to you to decide whether you want to see it or not.. Limited to 500 copies !

Artist : Lunapark

Label : Sterpete Dischi

gefangene vögel

Artist : Lunapark

Label : Dark Entries

gefangene vögel / LP

Lunapark is the trio of Burkhard Ballein, Klaus 'Schlips' Gebauer, Reinhard 'Zoppen' Benisch from Wuppertal, Germany. Formed in 1981 when the boys were dissatisfied with their surrounding musical environment. They packed their instruments and a cassette recorder and set off to create their own brand of Neue Deutsche Welle (NDW 'New German Wave'). Their influences included The Beatles, Colloseum, Roxy Music, Frank Zappa as well as Sex Pistols, Ian Dury & The Blockheads, Blondie and The Cure. 'Gefangene Vögel' ('Prisoner Birds') is their debut album released by Intakt-Records, Stuttgart in 1982. Utilizing a simple set up of guitar, bass, drums, drum-computer, Korg MS-10 and Korg MS-20 they recorded 10 tracks that make up the album. Songs bridge the Belgian-type industrial and cold sounds with NDW quirkiness. In the vein of Sad Lovers and Giants, and Schleimer K they blend post-punk and new-wave music with electronic influences. All songs are sung in German with monotone vocals and epitomized the urban Zeitgeist of the Cold War. The vinyl comes housed in a replica of the original jacket design, which features a drawing of birds on a grid. There are 4 different color versions of the screen printed jacket: blue, yellow, turquoise and here in magenta. Each LP includes a copy of the double sided 11x11 insert that was included with the original pressing with lyrics and photos.

growing seeds

Artist : Lust For Youth

Label : Avant!

growing seeds / LP

You might know Sweden's electronic act Lust For Youth thanks to their 'Solar Flare' debut album released one year ago. Today, after the defection of the early female member Amanda, Hannes Norrvide is back solo and born again. To celebrate the new season, the filthy patina that used to cloak the band's previous recordings has gone to leave room to clearer sounds which allow the different sides of the project to come to life. That's how, on 'Growing Seeds', you'll find synth-pop hymns along with noisy industrial tracks and powerful EBM beats. 10 songs to give new life to one of Europe's most interesting synth/wave bands. Comes on black vinyl with insert. Check ;)

aquamarine puzzle

Artist : Luxus Varta

Label : Shipwrec

aquamarine puzzle / 12"

'Aquamarine Puzzle' marks a new step in the sound of Luxus Varta. 6 paths are etched for this journey into time, space and the machine. A spectrum of sound is allowed to roam, to wander into strange worlds of galvanised synthlines, serrating snares and soulful strings. The 12" is perfectly balanced, astral melodies countered by crisp and precise rhythms, distant harmonies tethered to absorbing bass. A renewed partnership with machinist in arms Paris The Black FU of Detroit Grand Pubahs is formed for the mechanical dreamscape that is "Globb". A complex and utterly compelling encounter with the Luxus Varta nebula.

everything is nothing (hubble telescope series vol. I)

Artist : Luxus Varta

Label : Solar One Music

everything is nothing (hubble telescope series vol. I) / 12"

Killer deep space electro-techno on Solar One Music !!! Feeling inspired by the journey into space, Solar One Music has been working hard to create their own 'Hubble Telescope Series', which captures the feeling of space exploration through different experimental dancefloor tracks. As a homage to the Hubble Telescope and all the great scientists and engineers at the NASA and ESA and each part of the series comes with a cover print picture taken by the Hubble Telescope. The series consists of 3 releases featuring E.R.P., Heinrich Mueller, Rudolph Klorzeiger, The Exaltics, Robert Heise, Crotaphytus and Luxus Varta. Featured for the 1st part of the series, is the talented artist Emeric Di Paolo aka Luxus Varta including a stellar collab with Detroit Grand Pubahs main man: Paris the Black FU!!! A superb spacey, atmospheric sound bed with a incomparable, hypnotic voice from Paris The Black FU. "Kuft" the 1st track of this release sounds like a space trip to another galaxy with his pulsating bassline and drexciyan soundscapes. "Ieloh" has a super warm melody with contrasting futuristic cracking sounds. "Breigs" is a twinkling sound bombardment with a mysterious voice inside. The last track called "Voxpol" completes the release with an agile, jolting texture, an alien-like conversation. Don't miss this journey into the deep space. Repress !!

Artist : M!R!M

Label : Fabrika Records

heaven / LP

M!R!M begun as a duet in 2011 and created a huge buzz around their name instanly. Today M!R!M is a 23 year old boy, named Iacopo Bertelli. His music was generously tagged as post-punk, however the layers of it make any categorization, a difficult matter. Bertelli created 'Heaven' in his bedroom, trapped inside 4 walls of loneliness and fear of what the future may bring. Haunted by the Jesus and Mary Chains' dirty guitar sounds, the new M!R!M keeps the powerful, dynamics of their older work intact, but upgrades it, adding the most essential ingredient in creating good music: passion. 'Heaven' is literally Bertelli's personal hell, and all his songs seem to feed on his subconscious, creating a doomed, vulgar, acid world with whispers that become screams and guitar effects blend with inner voices and synths. You will be surprised many times , listening to 'Heaven'. You might find traces of Suicide's frenzy, Wire's straight forwardness and DNA's nihilism. You might as well be surprised by the noir wave duet with Nathalie Bruno (from the promising band Phosphor),one of the highlights of the LP. M!R!M 's 'Heaven' is definitely worth the wait of those who already new the band and a great introduction to all of those who search for a dirty, violently personal sound. The cover is made by contempory artist, Zigendemonic. Released in 500 hand-numbered limited copies, including download link..

kremahitz ep

Artist : Maarten van der Vleuten

Label : Mighty Robot

kremahitz ep / 12"

Maarten van der Vleuten provides 3 tracks of excellence with 2 dark, haunting, electro cuts (if you're a fan of Electronome you'll appreciate these) and a slice of warped end-of-night maddness. Rude 66 takes on the rmx task and drops his "Gortex" version of "Eltec". Throbbing Patrick Cowley bass, horror soundtrack melodies and vocoder chant, all layered in that unique '66 style. Filthy discoid action that's been getting its share of Cybernetic airtime. Don't miss !

reale la vita cu - remake ep

Artist : Machiste

Label : Thrill Beat Construction

reale la vita cu - remake ep / 12"

The original track was already considered as killer electro in the likes of Bochum Welt. ADSR-labelboss Skanfrom delivers a solid minimal wave electro inferno of the usual high quality, what else should one expect from him ? Still a bit sleepy the listener is rolled into his warm blanket and given a gentle kick, he tumbles through ISANs' endless soft beats and finally falls on a bed of small, fine melodies. About Pandem's remix, wonderful rhythms, tight looped melodies, handplayed synthie. Just another piece in the big book of quality electro. Unique ;-)

Beautiful LP released in 2002 by Machiste (one half of the Electronica project Beefcake) on the german label Thrill Beat Construction. A journey through the electronic music world from electro to electronica, from detroit-strings to Kraftwerk, from minimal to maximal from vocals to crispy sound, up to.... ????? It's not neo, it's not retro Machiste is different. Highly recommended !

Macho Cat Garage's 2002 debut presented here on a beautiful 4-track repress 12" with a dusty italo emphasis brought to the table by Danny Wolfers (aka Legowelt) and Orgue Electronique (aka Brian Chinetti). This brilliant 12" has the effect of sounding like it was recorded 20 years ago with its analogue synths and overdriven percussion, making for one of the most convincing and enjoyable record in the italo-discoid revival of the last few years. Run eyes closed ;)

friends forever

Artist : Magas

Label : Ersatz Audio

friends forever / 2x12"

Magas is James Marlon Magas. His new album "Friends Forever" proves he is an unstoppable force in today's underground music scene. This new album is... electronic, it's rock, it's no wave. It's great driving music, and great dancing music. Who cares what you call it. It's simply great music. Listen to this 11 song album, and get ready to be revived. The beats are thick. The synths are vindictive. And the vocals will send shivers up your spine ;-)

Highly anticipated release from a bonafide legend, features thick layers of in-your-face-bass. This ep delivers infectious synthmelodies and the legendary trademark vocoder lyrics over funky beats that put this wax in extreme demand..!

the spell ep

Artist : Makina Girgir

Label : Das Drehmoment

the spell ep / 12"

A nice 5 track piece of cold synth- meets electro pop of the new style on the Berliner Das Drehmoment label. Fitting for wave-indie-electro-pop-venues as well as for real clubs and dancefloors the French outfit Makina Girgir is about to hit a wide audience with their mixture of hyper-clean beats and ethereal strings sound arrangements plus tiny little melodies appearing here and there. Clean...

Label : La Forme Lente

torment / LP

'Torment' is the long awaited 1st full length album from Makina Girgir that just came out on La Forme Lente. Makina Girgir, also known as AratkiLo, is a solo project from Toulouse, France. In 2007, the debut ep 'The Spell' was released on Das Drehmoment and other tracks also appeared on various compilations like 'Dance With Us!' and 'Synthesize Me' in 2007, 'Circuit d’Actes 2' in 2011 and 'The Future Echo Tapes' in 2012. Faithful to the original spirit, every song is mixing cold and spacey sounds with warm and haunting melodies. Often urging you to dance, robotic rhythms and piercing synth riffs are contrasting in sweet and seducing harmonies. Mechanical sequences are arranged with deep and spacious soundscapes in a way that won't leave anyone indifferent. Female spoken words, processed through icy effects, are also making this record even more slick and sexy. Definitely getting off the beaten paths, Torment has a modern edge that I found original and refreshing. Every listening got me totally absorbed with the head in the clouds, ironically taking me away from life's torments.. Limited to 400 hand numbered copies with screenprinted artwork.

male stripper / all men are beasts

Artist : Man 2 Man meet Man Parrish

Label : ZYX

male stripper / all men are beasts / 12"

2 great US italo disco tracks of the legendary Man Parrish released in 1986. A-side : "All men are beasts" is a little bit kitsch and "gay" orientated, but this uptempo song is quite catchy. B-side : "Male stripper" is rather a super italo synth track with vocoder and human voice. We prefer that side ! Satisfaction Guarantee.

Brilliant 12" in the 'Robot Dystopia' series (limited to 350 copies) by this talented Hungarian electro producers. Clearly a soundtrack for a horror movie.

junk mail

Artist : MANASYt

Label : Kommando 6

junk mail / 12"

"Junk Mail" is a 4-track EP released in 2003 on which the act Manasyt manifests its dark and distorted electro on the obscure German Kommando 6 label (run by Beta Evers). The overall sound is a bit hectic due to the lively rhythms, distorted beats and noisy sounds. Doomy synth layers in the background give the tracks a dark atmosphere. Original minimal electro record that has its roots in the tradition, but is not too predictable. Massive One !

microwave mind

Artist : MANASYt

Label : Roulette Rekordz

microwave mind / 12"

In the line of his 2 previous 12" on Touchin'Bass and Kommando 6, "Microwave Mind" confirms Petar Tassev's immoderate taste for a brutal, heady and insane electro enhanced by fearsome industrial sounds. If powerful "Helltaxi", "Soldiers Of Vlah", "Punchwave" and "Penguin Talk" are focused on the dancefloor, "C.U.B.E" , "Bad Bye" reveal a mental and oldschool downtempo breaks face that we wouldn't expect from our USA based Bulgarian producer. A serious release that will guaranty you hot and spicy feelings !"

future teknology

Artist : Mandroid

Label : Breakin' Records

future teknology / 12"

This ep is an incredibly moody and beautiful piece of space age electronic music. Adrian Rataj takes electro to the next level with his lush many-layered arrangements, singing the praises of technological advance, but also sounding a warning. It contains 2 mixes of the track, with different vocal takes altering the mood. Really nice one !
