Artist : Doxa Sinistra

conveyer belt / LP

Doxa Sinistra was besides The Actor and Ende Shneafliet one of the more prominent acts on the Trumpett label in the 80's. Originally released in 1985 on cassette, "Conveyer Belt" is simply one of the best pieces of experimental and industrial music released in that era. Even today this music stands on its own and has lost nothing of it genius, originality and impact. Conveyer Belt is a haunting and crazy listening experience and a mind blowing sound trip. The music is beyond any rigid genre defintion: you may call it industrial free jazz, or wild electronics, or psychedelic angst pop, or noise paintings. After almost 25 years these tracks are still some of the most adventurous electronic sounds produced to date. Limited to 600 copies..

the other hand on the knob

7.90€

Artist : Adolf Filter

Label : Enfant Terrible

the other hand on the knob / 7"

Adolf Filter is Daniel Persson and Conny Klenze from Gothenburg (Sweden). Inspired by analogue synthesizers, drum machines and cassette recordings, and they started playing in various electronic bands over the years since 1986. Having started as Adolf Filter in 2004, they eventually appeared on various compilations, amongst them the “Doppelhertz” and the “Festival Der Genialen Dilettanten”. The whole concept is to keep the music free from any software synthesisers what so ever thus using only physical instruments. In general they do sound a lot like early Front 242 (thus in their best era : 1981 to 1983), making use of a lot of Roland SH-101 and TR-606. Limited to 300 copies.Very nostalgic, thus very good !

Nosztalgia Direktíva is a project from Hungary that obviously prefers to remain anonymous, so not much is known about them. A member has already appeared as G.K. Agenda on the defunct French Invasion Planète Records. As Nosztalgia Direktíva one track was released on Enfant Terrible’s last compilation “Festival der Genialen Dilettanten”. All tracks are pure analogue synth, very early 80’s, and very cold, most comparable to November Növelet style. Limited to 300 copies. Nice Shot ;-D

1984

14.99€

Artist : Tobias Bernstrup

Label : Enfant Terrible

1984 / 12"

Swedish visual and performance artist Tobias Bernstrup looks like a 21st century Klaus Nomi. His visual work is presented at exhibitions world wide. Next to that he is a gifted musician. He is able to create extremely catchy synth / electro-pop tunes while never crossing the line of delivering overproduced tracks. The sound of his tracks is like a hybrid of the arty side of Klaus Nomi with the pop side of Pet Shop Boys. This 4 track ep is built around the theme (and title track) "1984". But this theme is extended and made up to date. The Orwellian theme of total state control in which civilians are constantly watched and reality is manipulated is probably more actual as ever. This central theme is given a more individual and neo-romantic touch with the track "Light Years Apart", while the hostile state aspect is getting more of a sci-fi interpretation in "Enemies Of The Earth". Closing track "Data Love" combines the Orwellian sentiments of loneliness with the more contemporary vision on modern mankind of Houellebecq. The cover sleeve consis of 2 paintings by Tobias himself and fits the central theme perfectly. Despite the rather serious theme of the record this ep features simply excellent decadent music for the dancefloor. It combines elements of classic synth pop, electro, EBM, italo-disco and laser dance. There is no escape... You will have to love it !!!

Artist : Kaa Antilope

Label : Enfant Terrible

vpro radionome - april 2 1982 / 12"

Kaa Antilope from Belgium is possibly one of the better kept secrets from the 80's. Known to few people but loved by those. The reason is simple... this band was unique with their wonderful neo romantic, playful and melancholy sound. Their songs are best described as experimental synth-pop with a poetic touch. Only one 7" record was released in 1982. Even today their music stands out with its very special sound of its own. There has not been a single other band since the 80's that can be compared to Kaa Antilope. This live studio session was done as part of the legendary RadioNome radioshow broadcasted by the Vpro in the early 80's. The session has been tranfered from the original tape and is edited and re-mastered to make it available for the ultimate listening pleasure the songs ask for. Limited to 500 copies !

vpro radionome - december 18 1981

12.99€

Artist : Luc Van Acker

Label : Enfant Terrible

vpro radionome - december 18 1981 / 12"

Already from his solo records in the early 80's, Luc Van Acker has been building a name for himself as a multi talented musician and performer. While his early works are rather experimental he later joined forces with other musicians (who have become famous with bands like Front 242 and Ministry) to create a more rock orientated industrial / electronic act called Revolting Cocks. The session on this record is from 1981 and thus a very early piece of music in the discography of Luc Van Acker. For this occasion he performed with live electronics, a violin and various other gadgets and tools. The music must be seen as somewhere in between old style industrial music (thus experimental) and modern classical music. This live performance takes the listener from rhythmic pieces into more soundscape like baths of sound and was done as part of the legendary RadioNome radioshow broadcasted by the Vpro in the early 80's. The session has been tranfered from the original tape and is edited and re-mastered to make it available for a new audience. Limited to 520 copies only...

irish recording tape

18.90€

Artist : Agent Side Grinder

Label : Enfant Terrible

irish recording tape / LP

After the debut album was finished and released, one of the members had to leave for the USA for about one and a half year. During this time the band continued to write songs and played numerous live shows, with their studio technician (now a full time member of the band) filling the spot. Also in this period the band attracted another band member to perform live bass guitar on stage. Together they worked on a new album which was finished after the lost member was back from the USA. This record is "Irish Recording Tape". On this record the band has been perfecting their sound and song writing skills. Maybe the songs have been become more accessible in a way, but they still show the typical style of Agent Side Grinder : drilling industrial sounds which may be reminiscent at times of Swans, hypnotic synth sequences that refer to krautrock and psychedelic music and post-punk influenced bass lines which will give you flashbacks to Joy Division. Tip !!!

the transatlantic tape project

18.90€

Artist : Agent Side Grinder

Label : Enfant Terrible

the transatlantic tape project / LP

The true experimental side of Agent Side Grinder is shown in "The Transatlantic Tape Project". This project started as a way to keep working together while one of the members was in the USA. Sounds and music where put to tape and send over the atlantic ocean and re-worked their and sent back again to Sweden. In the end this resolved into an unique album with amazing music. "The Transatlantic Tape Project" is a blending of 60’s psychedelic music and 80’s experimental industrial muzak which is molded into original contemporary ambient music. Maybe it is better to call this electronic chamber music as it is much richer in texture then ambient music. Think about a soundtrack for a David Lynch film, think early Cabaret Voltaire and think elements of Velvet Underground and you can maybe get an idea of the actual sound of this record...

mrok / regn

6.99€

Artist : Distel

Label : Enfant Terrible

mrok / regn / 7"

Dutch angstpop (dark and slow synth-pop) act Distel (also active as drone - experimental act Hadewych) was already present on the compilation "Radio Resistencia". This is the real debut release. Moody and gloomy soundscapes and whispered vocals (sometimes in Dutch) draw you into the world of distel. The music is poetic, sophisticated and above all a very intense listening experience.. Try it ;)

fuscum subnigrum

16.99€

Artist : Bran

Label : Enfant Terrible

fuscum subnigrum / 7"

Bran released 2 very limited artifacts on cd and in this tradition we now present the vinyl debut of this act. When it comes to the music Bran serves the fans of minimal synth for sure but don’t be surprised to come across some uncommon style elements too. This 7" is more of an artifact as a record as it comes with a booklet with drawings by the musician and hand printed covers with 2 different designs (also by the musician himself). Next to that the labels are hand stamped with self designed stamps. As this record is ultra limited to only 2 times 75 copies (75 copies of each cover design) it is bound to become a real collector piece very soon...

"Kamp Holland" is an overview of the current independent electronic music scene from Holland. Some of the artists on this compilation have been inspired by minimal electronics, proto-electro, avant-garde pop & experimental pop music from the late 70’s and early 80's. Others are inspiring Enfant Terrible in its current development. Always furthur they go... This is the Royal Dutch underground !!!

Artist : Neurobit

Label : Enfant Terrible

till it all fades away / percussive movement in streaming pulses / 7"

Neurobit was already present on the "Kamp Holland" compilation and in several reviews his track was picked as one of the highlights from that release. This is the 1st official release of Neurobit on Enfant Terrible. Expect some bleeping psychedelics like an 8-Bit version of Klaus Schulze and Terry Riley. Recommended to fans of minimal electronics, psychedelic music and chip tunes alike.. 8-Bit festival ;)

dans

16.29€

Artist : Kim Ki O

Label : Enfant Terrible

dans / 12"

The Turkish girl band Kim Ki O was already present on the Enfant Terrible compilation "Radio Resistencia". Next to that they released 2 very limited cd-r’s by themselves and already toured in Scandinavia. "Dans" is the official debut of Kim Ki O and features 6 lo-fi pop songs which at times are extremely catchy but never too easy or slick in anyway. At other times the music is more tranquil and becomes hypnotic dream pop that will soothe you, but hasn’t a single dull moment. Kim Ki O’s music is perfect lo-fi indie pop with that vibrant touch of the modern metropolis Istanbul they come from. Very evident are the New Order inspired melancholy melodies, the Casiotone For The Painfully Alone like cheap and charming electronic rhythms and that special 4AD sort of quality throughout the songs. With this debut mini album the band launches themselves into the world of music. Kim Ki O is for sure a band to keep an eye on.. ;)

eindplaneet

10.49€

Artist : Staatseinde

Label : Enfant Terrible

eindplaneet / 7"

This is the official debut (limited to 300 copies) of Staatseinde that was already present on the "Kamp Holland" compilation with their track "Ruimtevaart Vooruit". Featuring on A-side, 2 cabaret influenced tracks and on B-side, a smashing remix of "Ruimtevaart Vooruit" by Dutch electro-acid veteran Rude66. Staatseinde is one of the most promising electro-pop acts from Holland ;)

total loss

9.49€

Artist : Sololust

Label : Enfant Terrible

total loss / 7"

Here is a 7" by Sololust, one of the projects from the 'Kamp Holland' compilation released on Enfant Terrible. On this compilation, Sololust presented a somewhat EBM influenced dark elektro track. On this 7" he shows a different side of the project. Sololust is equally good in creating pounding dark electro, as techno influenced minimal electronic tracks as in truly excellent synth-pop. This is simply superb synth-pop of the highest possible level. "Total Loss" is a moody electronic pop song in a style the artist himself calls emotronics. It has that special Wolfsheim kind of quality, but it's darker then Wolfsheim has ever sounded. "Sight Shuffle" fits perfect with the A side, only it is an instrumental piece which gives the track an ambient touch. This is an excellent track for playing in your car while driving at night. To make short, Sololust sounds like a bastard love child of Jim Morrison jamming with Porn.Darsteller and backed by the band of Q Lazarus on electronic instruments. Limited to 250 copies on purple clear vinyl ;)

falun gong

19.49€

Artist : Milligram Retreat

Label : Enfant Terrible

falun gong / LP

Milligram Retreat (aka Maurice Hermes & Renée van Trier), from Holland brings back experiment and artistic value in a style of music that is otherwise mostly hollow and without any cultural relevance today. The careful crafted minimalistic sound sculptures go from poppy to noisy and from beat orientated to creepy ambient pieces. While working in the tradition of 80's electro pioneers and proto new-wave acts, Milligram Retreat are a product of this day and age. There are hints of Ende Shneafliet and Doxa Sinistra in their music and also some Berlin 80's touches are evident. Still they never look back too far as they rather destroy the past to build it up again to their own likings. Really really nice !

via del latte

17.49€

Artist : Doxa Sinistra

Label : Enfant Terrible

via del latte / LP

Doxa Sinistra was all about pure minimal electronics, proto-electro and experimentation. Their 2nd tape 'Conveyer Belt' from 1985 was already released on vinyl by Enfant Terrible a few years ago. Now it is time to release their 1st tape 'Via Del Latte' from 1982 on vinyl for the 1st time. This is serious freaky stuff. Dissonant electronic sounds and weird tunes make up for a sort of sci-fi/horror B-movie soundtrack. This is not your every day easy listening, but a trip through a surreal Milky Way. Limited to 300 copies !

svensk bonnasynth

16.50€

Artist : Various

Label : Enfant Terrible

svensk bonnasynth / 12"

'Svensk Bonnasynth' basically says it all.. This is Swedish electronic hillbilly music! The musicians involved in Adolf Filter, Kord & Monster Apparat have a long tradition in producing electronic music and have been active in the Swedish music world for years. With this record they serve us roots music coming from analogue synths. Traditional & conservative electro and synth music, but effective as it can get! Produced especially for an Enfant Terrible label night where all 3 bands performed live. The tape was given away for free to the visitors of the night only. Limited to 300 copies only !

symphonie neuronale

26.49€

Artist : La Mort De L'Hippocampe

Label : Enfant Terrible

symphonie neuronale / LP

Behind this project is Jérôme Fontan (aka Porn.Darsteller) who sadly passed away last year. That was 10 years ago. He focussed 1st on music for a silent film (El Sexto Sentido, Spain 1928) and after that on La Mort De L'Hippocampe. La Mort De L'Hippocampe is something very different from Porn.Darsteller. There is not much pop in this music and there is not much electro in it either... it has experimental, industrial and classical sides, all sounds are done with analog equipment like Minimoog and tape echo, and acoustic instruments. This album is somewhere between cabaret, Die Todliche Doris and Schönberg... This project was much more of a performance group centered around Jérôme Fontan then a studio project. The LP was planned to be a co-production between Enfant Terrible and Verbascripta, the label founded by Jérôme. The label is continued by the other members of La Mort De L'Hippocampe. A 2nd album of La Mort De L'Hippocampe will be released later, also as a co-production between Enfant Terrible and Verbascripta. Have a nice trip ;)

cheminement de l

19.99€

Artist : La Mort De L'Hippocampe

Label : Enfant Terrible

cheminement de l'extase / LP

La Mort De L'Hippocampe was the short-lived project by Jérôme Fontan after he stopped his elektro project Porn.Darsteller. The project ended with the unexpected death of Jérôme in June 2011. This is the 2nd and last album, but was produced before the 'Symphonie Neuronale' album released earlier this year. Jérôme preferred that album to be released the 1st. So it was done.. 'Cheminement De L'Extase' is much more a spiritual record as the 1st one. It comes in 2 parts. The 1st part is a metaphysic poem illustrate with experimental, industrial and classical sounds. Next to analog sounds done with Minimoog and tape echo also acoustic instruments like percussion and electric violin are used. The 2nd part is mostly based on texts from Hildegard von Bingen. This part is rather old-school industrial in sound but this is mixed with medieval instrument like "Vielle A Roue" and "Bombarde Bretonne". The lyrics are done in spoken word style by Isabelle Toro who was also featured on the 1st released album. Again this LMDH album is released as a co-production between Enfant Terrible and Verbascripta. And again the artwork is true craftsmanship done by Bran.

mellowharsher

16.99€

Artist : Europ Europ

Label : Enfant Terrible

mellowharsher / 10"

This Norwegian band is around since 1996, making noise since 1996. But never noise in an average way or a predictable manner. This is industrial music as it should sound, never becoming dark in a gothic kind of way, never becoming weak dance music in a new school kind of way, and without getting lost in noise just for the sake of noise. The music is ritual and tribal and performed like an occult rite. And yet it is also contemporary experimental pop music, maybe.. Limited to 200 numbered copies including insert & an hand enhanced sleeve ;)

Artist : Various

Label : Enfant Terrible

exploitation / 2x12"

'Exploitation' is the new film by Dutch independent filmmaker Edwin Brienen. Enfant Terrible produced the soundtrack for this gothic-noir satiric fresco. 90 minutes of music to be enjoyed both as true soundtrack as well as a sequel to previous Enfant Terrible compilations.. but more dramatic and ritualistic in the way the record is building up.. it will please fans of minimal electronics and (post) industrial music but also moves into different styles such as idm, techno, angst-pop and chanson... while always keeping a dark and cold mood and/or dream state feeling throughout... Limited to 250 copies!

puur

28.99€

Artist : Distel

Label : Enfant Terrible

puur / LP+7"

After several contributions to compilations and one 7" release, here is the long awaited debut album called 'Puur' by Dutch electronic project Distel. The sound of Distel is not easy to define.. Some might call this witch house while others would go for death disco or ritual electro.. But in the end it is electronic music with a background in industrial and minimal electronics with a magical and maybe even occult mood. When seeking for references you could say that Distel has all the originality and talent of Coil and the sound is like that of Autechre on a dark trip. At the same time it is maybe too a bit as Esben and The Witch but pure electronic and darker.. And it has links to the work of Haus Arafana/Növelet but is for sure richer and deeper in sound. What is evident is that the waiting for this album was worthwhile as it is one of the artistic highlights from the house of Enfant Terrible. It is beautiful and complex and grotesque on all levels !!

This new compilation is created to celebrate the 10 years of activity of Enfant Terrible... E.T. could have done a best of... or they could have done a compilation with all the people who I have collaborated with the past 10 years... but instead E.T. have choosen to present a single album which is pointing forward into the future and still shows its roots... 'I Am Enfant Terrible' makes clear the traditions they have been working in but at the same time is an album with the broad spectrum of sounds we're all interested in. From indie-pop to new-wave to minimal synth and from noise to electro and IDM and ambient. From poppy to experimental to dance music, this is what E.T. do and this is what we are... repeating mistakes / LP

While the 'Mellowharsher' mini LP (2012) was subtle on every level this new full length album by Europ Europ might be called subtle noise... 'Repeating Mistakes' shows a slightly different side of the Norwegian band... they are back to being a duo and back to basics in a way... The album is noisy but without being a simple drone. The band serves you lo-fi industrial soundscapes presented as songs, sometimes haunting and disturbing but the next minute soothing and hypnotic. 'Repeating Mistakes' is not an easy listening album but a piece of music you need to discover by listening to it over and over again... peeling away layers and uncovering the true nature of the songs by doing this. This is simply minimal electronics as it should sound; limited to 200 copies !

sfx / LP

Back in 2007 ET released a 10" mini LP with Solitude FX under the alias of Solitairen Effekten featuring only German sung minimal elektro tracks with a slight hint of NDW. "sfx" i another collection of songs by the German duo, this time much more new-wave orientated and even more melancholy as before but it is not only sadness and solitude these songs have to offer; there is also romance and devotion streaming through them. The minimal and lo-fi character of the production only serves the songs in being authenthic and straight from the heart. Less is more proves again to be quite true. For the artwork Dutch visual artist Hans de Wolf photographed some of his wood sculptures which fit amazingly well to the mood and feeling of the music.

romanticism / 2x12"

Here is the 4th full length album by Tobias Bernstrup. Moving away a bit from the italo influenced sound of his previous releases this is much more produced as a state of the art contemporary synth-pop record. But don't be afraid, these are still tracks to dance away on in the dark of the night. Next to up to date dance music orientated pieces there are also tracks with a more classic approach, like EBM style rhythms and 80's influenced synth-pop tunes.. and throughout the album there is the typical Tobias Bernstrup touch of decadent and hedonistic moods.. Next to that this release features a remix by EBM and futurepop star Apoptygma Berzerk, giving the album just another future dancefloor favorite for sure! Limited to 300 copies..

Some years ago an album by Dutch band Milligram Retreat was released on Enfant Terrible. The album got raving feedback from press and music enthusiasts. Sadly the project was short lived.. but straight after the project came to an end Maurice Hermes, the mastermind behind it, started his solo project called Neugeborene Nachtmusik. Now is the time to pour his debut album out over you. Residing in Berlin Neugeborene Nachtmusik has shaped his music more and more these past few years into an unique style of this own. Some results of this were displayed already on the various artists releases 'Exploitation', 'I Am Enfant Terrible' and 'Post-Everything'. This album is a pitch black experience, a shamanistic ritual and a dark trip which takes you by the hand and leads you beyond and back. You get served 6 long tracks with effective minimalism and trance indulging sounds. Influences from electro, techno, industrial, noise and (black) metal can be traced. The album is diverse but coherent in displaying the specific personal style of Neugeborene Nachtmusik.. Special artwork print, insert, limited edition of 200 copies!

After a hiatus of some years Staatseinde is back with a new 7" which features a changed line-up and a slightly different sound. On the 'Kamp Holland' compilation and their 1st 7" Staatseinde was more like an electro-rock band, mixing electronics and traditional rock instruments like drums and bass guitar... now the sound has changed to a more dominant electronic one... what remains is the playfulness; and what is added is extra pinch and energy... This is Neue Holländische Welle 2.0! Edition of 200 numbered copies !

After the bit eclectic and 'dance music' orientated ep on Gooiland Elektro, Sololust now returns to synth-pop with this new 7" and even though all of his music is moody in the end. He surpassed himself this time in creating 2 excellent melancholy pieces. And, as we all know, synth-pop can also be perfectly suitable as dance music. The title track proves this once again and should be played at all specialized dancefloors around the world! On the flip side of this record is just simply a superb and intense melancholy minimal synth tune. What else do you need in the middle of the night ?! Edition of 200 numbered copies..

much more ordinary / 7"

Europ Europ have become a steady partner in crime. Together the band and Enfant Terrible like to treat the world with some new tasty, freaky and noisy sounds once in a while. Here is a new 7" on which the band sounds more rhythmic as they ever did before, without forgetting their noisy post-industrial background Europ Europ has come up with 2 major cultish weird post-industrial disco tracks. This is all any minimal devotee could ask for: simply true minimal electronics as they should sound. Raw, unpolished and free-spirited. Edition of 200 numbered copies !
